With Vstitcher 8 coming out just last week and animation now being a new feature (wohoo) I gave it a go this weekend. My feedback: Fairly simple to use, geometries sometimes break from pose to pose and I needed several tries but without having to use any additional software I am quite satisfied with the outcome.
